The first edition was the final event to happen at the old L'envers space, and it was a warm success. We are happy to keep things going at La Brique with this third edition of Spin the Bottle.
Come this Sunday night, May 19th to hear new sounds, meet new friends, and to hear what's new on the scene. (Editors note: I ended up playing 2 performances with a guitarist I met at the first Spin the Bottle) All listeners and musicians of any and all backgrounds are welcome. As the title suggests, we will start the night by randomly select musicians to play together in small groups. After the introductions are made, we'll improvise, of course!
Ellwood Epps is one of the city's busiest improvisers and has also taught improvisation workshops across Canada, as well as founding the Studio d'Improvisation de Montreal, an ensemble-based workshop which will be back this summer.
Piano will be provided. Interested drummers/amp users please email lenvers185@gmail.com to coordinate gear and ride shares.
Doors open at 830pm and music will go from 9pm to midnight. We are asking for a $3 donation to help with the room rental.
Please bring something to drink if you might get thirsty!
